Fire at The Narrows - Chili Cookoff at the Elwell's

Saturday June 21st

BBQ at John and Susie James’ house in Gig Harbor.  Come enjoy some great food and the company of your PCA friends.  This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and share good times with old ones.  RSVP to John by email or by phone by (253) 265-2500.

Starting time is 4:00 PM. If you are running in the PNWR Autocross in Bremerton that day, you are only twenty minutes away.  Burgers, Brats, Hot Dogs, etc. provided. If you care to bring a side dish to share, please let us know when you RSVP.

Porsches, games, car stories, and good old fashioned conversation guaranteed!!. Oh, and our President Maryann Elwell's famous raffle. You might want to bring a lawn chair.

Directions from West of Gig Harbor:

1. Take 16E toward Gig Harbor
2. Take the BURNHAM DR NW exit
3. Enter the roundabout (that's a circle if you're from Jersey) and take 1st exit
4. Drive to the stop sigh and turn LEFT onto SEHMEL DR NW (1.5 miles)
5. Follow the arterial turn sign to the LEFT onto 78TH AVE NW (0.9 miles)
6. At the 4-way stop turn LEFT onto 82ND AVE NW.  The road changes names to DAVID DAY DR NW.  The road winds to the left after the Rosedale Market/Shell Station (1.2 miles)
7. Turn RIGHT onto RAY NASH DR NW (0.8 miles)
8. Stay right by the Island Store and go over the concrete bridge.  You are now on KOPACHUCK DR NW (0.6 miles)
9. Turn RIGHT onto ROSEDALE BAY CT NW  (0.1 miles)
10. At the "T" in the road turn left
11. Make a left into the first driveway by the white garage

NOTE: A lot of the roads in Gig Harbor change names even though you are on the same street. ALSO, all distances are approximate.  John will try and post signs in several key locations.

IMPORTANT--Watch your speed in Gig Harbor area. Thirty Five miles per hour is strictly enforced and 25 MPH even more so!!

Directions from East of Olympic drive toward the Narrows Bridge

1. Take the OLYMPIC DR NW exit (EXIT 10)
2. At the top of the ramp turn LEFT onto OLYMPIC DR NW.  You'll drive for about 1.8 miles during which time the road name will change to 56TH ST NW and then to FILLMORE DR NW
3. At the "T" in the road (there's a traffic light there too) turn LEFT onto WOLLOCHET DR NW (0.7 miles)
4. Turn RIGHT at the second light onto ARTONDALE DR NW.  You'll see a grey colored Grange Hall on your right at this intersection.  You'll drive on this road for about 3.0 miles during which time the road name will change to 78th AVE NW and then to WHITMORE DR NW
5. At the "T" turn RIGHT onto RAY NASH DR NW. (0.3 miles)
6. You'll reach another "T", turn LEFT onto KOPACHUCK DR NW and cross a concrete bridge (0.6 miles)
7. Turn RIGHT onto ROSEDALE BAY CT NW  (0.1 miles)
8. At the "T" in the road turn left
9. Make a left into the first driveway by the white garage
