Fire at The Narrows
- Chili Cookoff at the Elwell's
Sunday March
16th
Our annual Chili Cookoff
will again be held at the Elwell's place. If you want to have a chance to
compete in something other than driving here’s your chance, so start looking for
your best Chili Recipe. RSVP to Maryann Elwell by 3/9/07 via

The Cookoff will be held at 1P the Elwell's house at 135 Pt. Fosdick Cir. NW,
Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Participants who plan to enter the Chill Cookoff should
bring their Chill in a serving bowl with a warmer or crock pot. We will
provide utensils, chips, and beverages.
Directions to the Elwell's house from Rt. 16 West of Olympic Dr. Exit in Gig Harbor:

Take Rt.
16 East (towards Tacoma) and take the Olympic Dr. exit.

At end
of ramp at light turn right onto Olympic Dr. and get into left turn lane.

Make a left at the first light onto Pt. Fosdick Dr. (Chevron gas station on one
corner and shopping centers on other corners). Drive about 0.9 miles
on Pt Fosdick Dr.

Go
straight through the circle to stay on Pt. Fosdick Dr. Drive about 1.2
miles farther on Pt Fosdick after the circle.

Go
straight at blinking red light (this is a stop only for Pt. Fosdick Dr.).
Just after a Chevron station. Drive another 0.9 miles on Pt Fosdick.
There will be a fork in the road along the way, stay to the right.

Look for the street sign for 4th St. – you should also
see a round wooden sign on left that says “Pt. Fosdick Place - Circle
Private Road" and a bus shelter.

Make the
left turn onto 4th St and drive up the hill

Make the
first right turn onto Pt. Fosdick Cir.

After the 2nd speed bump
bear left and drive up the hill.

When the street bends to the right, you will see
a gravel driveway directly in front of you. That's our driveway.
So go down the gravel driveway.

At the end of the driveway there is a fork (at sign for 133 and 135), bear right for our house.
I'm sure that by this point it should be obvious which house is ours
Note: Our address is 135 Point Fosdick Cir NW.
However, our house is on the even number side of the street. Go figure!
Just don't let that fool you.
