A number of Cub Scout packs in Silverdale will be holding their Pinewood Derby Social on Friday January 25th at 6:15P. We have been honored with a request to show off some or our "big boy cars" to these boys and their families before the Pinewood Derby race that evening. We have been asked to gather our cars at 6:15pm at the LDS church just off Frontier Rd between Newberry Hill & Trigger in Silverdale. Nuts About Hi-Fi is hosting a Tech Session on Home Theater and Audio Systems at their store located at 9960 Silverdale Way, Suite 3 (Safeway Shopping Center) in Silverdale. April 20089th – Dinner & Board Meeting at Lakeland Village Lakeside Bistro in Allyn. We're shaking things up a bit in hopes of allowing those who work on weekends to attend a mid-week club dinner. So in April we're holding a mid week dinner following by a board meeting. It will be held at the Lakeland Village Lakeside Bistro at 470 E Country Club Dr., Allyn,WA 98524. We will be able to just order off the full menu for dinner. Drive some awesome roads in East and North King County. Meet at 8:15 a.m. at Krispy Kreme in Issaquah, North of I-90 in a shopping center off of East Lake Sammamish Road. The tour ends with a pizza lunch in Mukilteo about 1:00 p.m. 26th – 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. OPR / PNWR Tech Session and Barbeque sponsored by MAXRPM of Bremerton. This round-robin tech festival will spotlight seven different topics at 15 minute intervals, followed by a Q and A session with individual instructors after the round robin for more detailed information on your choice of topics. Vancouver Island Region invites you to their premier event of the year at the exquisite Crown Isle Golf Resort in Courtenay, British Columbia. More info... 10th – 9:00 a.m. Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Fundraiser. Beginning at Vinland Elementary, this is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fund-raising event. Tens of thousands of co-workers, friends and family come together each year as one community for one cause…to help find a cure for CF. OPR is one of the sponsors of this event. Club members are encouraged to participate in the walk. Also, OPR will hold a show and shine during the event to earn additional funds for the charity. More info... 15th – PNWR Driver Ed Day. Held at Pacific Raceway in Kent. More info... 17th – 8:45A, 60th Annual Bremerton Armed Forces Day Parade. Participate in the largest, longest running Armed Forces Day Parade! OPR will drive as a group in the parade. The hotel is the Red Lion in Astoria. The room rates are $149-159 but if we have 10 or more rooms, the rate drops to $119-129. So far, we have two rooms. An invite to 912 owners and early 911 or 356 owners: This meet, greet, and drive event is being planned in order to develop a network of Northwest 912 owners along with 356 and 911 drivers. Meet at Fat Smitty’s in Port Townsend at 10:30 a.m. for departure no later than 11:00. We’ll take a scenic drive through Port Townsend and grab a late lunch in town around 12:30.
